Decorative light fittings.

Can you still buy decorative light fittings that take standard Bayonet Cap lamps? - all the ones I've seen take SES or ES lamps, which unfortunately are not easily available in the form of energy saving lamps.

The reason that I ask, is to have an attractive light fitting that is energy efficient, yet shop people advise me that modern regulations ban the manufacture of BC Cap light fittings with more than one lampholder in.

Why is this ? - I thought that in this day and age, energy efficiency is the key.
 
You can get CFLs wit ES and SES caps on them.


I have some SES CFL candle lamps at home. No bigger than a standard incandescent candle lamp either :)
