How to connect an AC adapter as output from a spur

I have purchased a new DIY alarm system, which has a 240V AC to 12v (500mA) DC plug adapter, that links into the control panel.

I'd like to tidy the wires away into the wall and ideally link it to the circuit as a spur. Is there any well trodden path to do this? I assume I would need to replace the AC adapter with another piece of equipment suited for in-wall connections, but what?

I can't work out what wires you want to conceal - photos?

Why does it have to be a spur?

Any 12v DC power supply of 6W or more will do - make sure that it will be OK enclosed in something, make sure it has the right plug, and FGS avoid like the plague any cheap Chinese carp.

The control panel has one of these, which would otherwise run outside down the wall to a socket. I'd like to conceal it and ideally wire it to the circuit internally.

I don't know if it needs to be a spur, I was just trying to give examples.

It would be the other side of a doorway. However there is a light switch on the same wall, I don't know if this helps?

The light switch isn't going to help re a socket circuit.

Will where you'd want concealed cables be OK? [wiki]electrics%3Awalls[/wiki]
