Hi all,

wonder if I can use your experiences.

I have always in the past laid laminate the traditional way. i.e horizontal with the room.

I saw in a newbuild the other day the flooring was laid diagonally as opposed to horizontal with a border going around the room.

Has anyone laid diagonally and what are the main factors to consider? Also the border around the room, would this have been the laminate boards cut down in width as I cannot find these sold anywhere.

The border looked like they were not fixed to the diagonal flooring but joined by decorators caulk or similar.

I imagine it was a glued floor rather than the DIY snap-together stuff.....maybe. Sounds nice. Got a link?
