I have taken off the old tiles from our plasterboard walls... Which created lots of damage to the board... I have replaced the boards which were too badly damaged and now I am left with the lower sections which only have patches of missing skim (back to the plasterboard). These areas range from 20mm x 20mm to 300mm x 200mm in size (skim is 2mm deep approx)
I would like to fill these areas to make the walls reasonably even.

Can anyone recommend a produce to use?
Someone one did mention using adhesive others say just plaster. Basically I want something which is not going to pull off the wall when the tiles go on!

Your better tiling onto bare plasterboard than onto skimmed board so just use tile adhesive.

Use a straight edge to get it reasonably level - doesn't have to be perfect if it's being tiled.
