I AM WANTING TO TAKE THE SIDE PANEL OFF OF THE BATH IN THE HOUSE THAT I AM CURRENTLY RENTING. THERE IS A LARGE DRAFT COMING FROM THE OVERFLOW AND THE BATH AND ULTIMATLEY THE BATHROOM TOO ARE ALWAYS COLD. THE PANEL ON THE BATH HAS CAPPED SCREWS ON THE SIDE AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO TAKE THEM OFF. IVE ASKED THE LANDLORD TO LOOK INTO IT BUT HE DOESNT SEEM BOTHERED. IM HOPING THAT IF I CAN GET THE PANEL OFF I MIGHT BE ABLE TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND ULTIMATELY GET HIM TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. PLEASE HELP

pictures would be useful.

if by capped screws you mean the heads are rounded, they may just be decorative caps over normal screws. if you take a small screwdriver and gently try to pick one off you'll soon find out. you shouldn't need to give it much force if that's what they are.

ok i will give that a go today . if it doesnt work then i will get some photos , thanks

I think the first thing you should do is .....................calm down and stop SHOUTING!

Andy

If there is a draught coming from the overflow, then its not connected - hope you're not a fan of deep baths!
Mention this to the landlord and the risk of flooding might make him sit up and take notice!
