How would you join two different materials?

Hello All

I recently did a job in London I had to run a soil & vent 110mm to rain water roof gully/gutter. The outlet I was left to join to is stainless steel slightly smaller than 110mm soil and buts up to the soil.

My question is what would be the perfect coupling to join the two different materials together. Obviously has to hold an air test.

Thank you

Bodd

I might be acting a bit dumb here but why would it have to hold an air test when the soil pipe is vented?

Or are you on about the smell test ?

Because it is soil and vent. It has a toilet on the run and goes into a drain.
Your not dumb just not sure of the facts
