How's the weather where you are today?

Just been out to take the dog for a street walk as our local country park is closed. Went past a plumbers merchants at Upminster Bridge station and about 20 long lengths of that brown soil/drainage pipe had been blown off of the containers in their yard onto the pavement. Also, our local windmill is being refurbed and the sails may be going on soon but the absolutely huge crane that has been set up is swinging back and forth through at least 90°. Are they supposed to do that?

Keswick, northern lakes.......River Greta close to bursting its banks, flood warnings at Fitz park :( - hopefully things expected to peak about now.
Ambleside difficult, some roads impassible.

Done it just in time before the heavy rain come down... A slob of CT1 one and Tom Cruise courage has kept the family home water tight.

P¡ssed down just after

Not that bad really, first year we have lived here, loads of rain, but just like normal day on the Falklands, it is after all only 80 MPH, we got 120 MPH regular on Falklands.

But either I am very sheltered or the wind is no where near what has been predicted, loads of rain, but wind not that bad. But still not going out for a walk.

So it rained a tad today, a little windy too.
My road was like a level 3 whitewater rapid - great for canoeing in lol.
The town center had a massive puddle in it, about a foot deep, had to go round another way to get to the supermarket - omg it was awful lol.

About 1/4 a small skip full of debris has been washed down the public footpath that runs up the hill near me, someone gets a lovely job cleaning that up :)

Ischgl is fantastic. Sunny and pleasantly warm in the sun. Not a breath of wind either.(y)

Ischgl, always reminds me of the leftovers of a game of scrabble for some reason. As do the names of some of our Polish colleagues.

The only reason I can spell it is because the Ischgl logo is written everywhere.

I'm told it's good skiing
Very good skiing. Zell am See was nice at Christmas but the quality of the slopes doesn't come close. The new fellas were spoilt today with stunning pistes and incredible weather.
Gonna change tomorrow though....:sneaky:

Yes, they are left loose like a weather vane, else they will get blown over

Quite correct. They are set on a light tension to prevent spinning too fast but if they were locked down there is a potential to twist the support framework.
