Yeah. She was knocking on neighbours doors at 4.00 in the morning resulting in phone calls and a 30 minute drive to bring her back with us. She’s in quite a good one for the money, £6K/month, and they get them doing daily activities and take them on trips etc. She thinks she works there! When we take her out for the day she's fretting about getting back on time for her shift and that she might lose her 'job'!
Yes, some of the antics can be amusing. Breakfast at 11pm because he has no concept of time. Moving into the shed last Sept to hide from the carers. The hallucinations are hard to cope with. His decline has been rapid, 18 months ago he drove to Staffordshire from Bristol on his own. Now he can't be trusted to feed himself. Having Alzheimers and vascular dementia is a lot more rapid plus diabetes that is difficult to control is speeding it up even more. £6K seems to be the going rate here too.
