human rights lawyers have blocked 1st plane of asylum seekers to Rwanda

Government will declare the ECHR not fit for purpose, meddling in domestic affairs

The ECHR was Sir Winston Churchills idea

and it was mostly written by British lawyers.

I guess you think British lawyers are sh1t

Please don’t be dishonest

asylum claims have gone down since the early 2000s
How on earth is that dishonest.

If I fill a bucket with a small hole in it, with water, until it overflows, turning the tap down, does not stop it from continuing to overflow. It is unsustainable to keep filling these levels.

If I spend more money per day than I earn, but then reduce this. It is unsustainable to keep spending at these levels.

Look at the claims vs status grants. Then ask yourself what happens to all those who are denied. Where do they go? Do they go home? Then look at all the claimants who have claimed asylum in many safe countries along the way and have been denied. Why did other safe countries deny their claim and we should not?

Economic migrants should be discouraged. We have the same population as France and are roughly half the size.

it is dishonest because asylum claims are far lower than they were in the early 2000s

you are claiming the number coming here is massively high, your graph shows the latest arriving by boat is 30,000

well in 2003 UK made 100,000 asylum applications -its wasnt a problem for the UK then (although we had functioning public services under a Labour govt then.

so why dont you have a problem with Tory govt spaffing billions up the wall on PPE contracts

Owen Paterson alone tool a £500k bung from tax revenue
what about the £37b on test and trace budget?
what about the £8b of covid fraud

I dont see yuo saying "we just cant afford this corrupt govt spaffig or money up the wall

and how is is unsustainable -the numbers coming here are far lower than they were in early 2000s

this is why you are dishonest.

Some one said that 10000 ( ish) have crossed the channel in rubber boats in the last year

Well what happens to the boats when they get here ?

Seems like they are single use ?
And probably destroyed
They should be safety checked and sent back to France for re use ?

Flight cancelled because number dropped to 1

what a farce
Think it was 4 actually but the news seemed to have problems finding out. Flight may be cancelled was mentioned.

It's probably awaiting a real and proper judicial review next month. If such a thing really exists.

I smell yet another sop. Maybe deportations to the same place can be run on a schedule. Easyjet might be interested. Might work out less costly than current deportations.

Normally I'd say that no commercial airline would dream of it due to the reputational risk. But then you said easyJet.

I saw an item on TV, where they showed the boats, many dozens of them stacked up on concrete. I guess it must have been somewhere in Dover. I would expected them to sell them in the 'proceeds of crime' auctions.
