Hi,

I have just had my oil tank refillled after coming back from holiday to find it dry as a bone.
Assuming I havent wrecked the pump (which I gather is a fairly strong possibility) how do I get the system started again?
It is a Trianco Eurostar boiler.
I havent been able to positively ID a pump - as I thought bleeding that would be my first port of call. There is a small brass coloured round item attached between the oil pipe coming through the wall & the boiler casing.
I cant read the label as it is mounted facing the wall. It has a black knob on it. As I cant see the label I cant check online to find out if a, it is a pump & then b, how to bleed it.
Help!! Any thoughts would be most gratefully recieved. :!:

your describing the remote fire valve not the oil pump, which is inside the boiler casing on the burner.
If you lucky the burner may just need resetting on the controll box (red button glowing).
Otherwise bleed the line from the braded or rubber hose that connects to the burner.

Which burner is it? If its an aluminium cased G5, you have to take the sase off first.
