I wish we had big Don in charge over here !

What I meant was those on the left were traditionally well known for being lenient on crime, immigration, etc.
And that's trump. Relasing those rioters
Because they aren't strict it can cause the problem to grow - increasing people's fears. When I say 'traditionally', Tories have softened their stance in these areas recently and aren't much better than politicians on the left.
He is not supporting law and order, far from it

Blimey bloke has not been president for a week

Ditched the W.H.O

Ditched the climate change caper / Paris

Declared a national emergency down Mexico way

National emergency on energy

Signed over 30 executive orders

Pardoned 1500 fruit cakes

Ever had too much and put me on ignore?

Don't be silly, I need all the help I can get with my old van.

Seriously though, if being aghast at the invasion of my country (and I see my country as an extension of my home) by millions -then yes I agree with the description of right wing racist. Realist is more accurate, but I don't see it as an insult. You are definitely left of centre though - even if you don't see it yourself.

Exactly.

No wonder he hasn't had time to phone Keir.

I love it. And it's rated pretty much everywhere as one of the top comedies ever and the best one of the 1990s, with an amazing performance from Bill Murray. Andie MacDowall is adorable in it as well. But it probably won't suit everybody. It takes a little while to get going so it's worth persevering.
I’ve watched it easily 10 times. My Mrs hates it.

Have you seen some of theory’s about it online? Nothing wacky, just how long he was there for and Ned.

I love Scrooged too.

I'm more interested in lowering of oil prices and interest rates, sorting out Russia/Ukraine and stabilising the Middle East.
What makes you think Trumpf will achieve any of those things? The oil producing companies will reduce production to maintain prices if America starts drilling and using its own oil, investors are insisting on higher returns on bonds, Pootin will play Don over Ukranr. The middle east is a tinder box that will take hundreds of years to resolve if ever.

Trump had a very long chat with the Crown Prince and he was receptive to lowering the OPEC price, Trump carrying on through with 'drill baby drill' will lower prices, the lowering of oil prices (apart from the cost of living benefits) is the last thing Putin wants or needs, with a European (semi) embargo he's forced to sell oil at a knockdown price to India and China, the more the price of oil falls, the lower the revenue to Russia, with obvious connotations. The middle east may well never be resolved but more was accomplished under Trumps 1st term with the Abraham Accords than for several decades before, the current unrest probably wouldn't have occurred had Biden not undone Trumps sanctions on Iran which gave Iran the money to fund terrorism (although Qatar still had plenty of money for that purpose).

Trump may or may not achieve all of this, but he's bold enough and brave enough to try, he may well accomplish all this by the time Starmer has worked out what a woman is.

So you must be pleased that Starmer's government got the violent rioters and arsonists rounded up and processed through the courts so quickly.

Have you expressed your appreciation?

Next stop, the Bra Baroness.

American Shale Oil is quite expensive to extract, and only makes economic sense when the price is high.

When oil is cheap, the shale plants close down to avoid running at a loss.

Perhaps his trillionaire supporters will pay some some tax to subsidise the oil industry.

Or they could spend the money fitting loft insulation, pipe lagging and fire hydrants in Texas.

I’ve never seen it. Any good?

I've just had a quick look for a review which sums it up better than I can, but which doesn't give the whole game away. This one seems to hit the nail on the head.

Groundhog Day is a wonderful movie. Essentially it is a one-joke comedy, but what makes Groundhog Day so delightful is that whereas it could have been derivative and predictable, the film is always full of life and full to the brim with fresh ideas. The script is a delight, always funny, quotable and witty, while the story has a surprisingly refreshing concept and several great scenes. The cinematography is beautiful, and the locations and production values are consistently striking. Also Harold Ramis's direction is excellent, the pace rarely lags and all the characters are credible. The acting is wonderful too, and by far one of the best assets of this film. Bill Murray gives one of the best performances of his career, Stephen Tabolowsky gives a superb turn as the nerdy insurance salesman and the lovely Andie McDowell has never been better. In conclusion, a delightful film that works on all levels.
