What's the best way to remove an ice blockage in a waste pipe :( Hot water down or salt ?? Any good ways please?

Hot water or another heat source on the outside of the pipe really - tipping hot water down the plug hole may help - it depends on how big the ice plug is.
Putting salt down the trap afterwards is a good move, especially if you have a continuous drip.
John :)

I'd try boiling water from a kettle - whats the best way to do it from outisde though?

putting some " salty" liquid down - that helps too and saves @ least 6 litres a flush

Boiling water on PVC waste pipes can quite easily crack the bloody things. If you must go this route, dribble it over slowly rather than splosh it on.
