ideal e type rs 60n boiler gas valve failed after new one fi

hi,had a new gas valve fitted to my ideal etype rs 60n boiler as pilot would not stay alight,worked fine for a while now same problem has happen,any idea why@.

How do you know it is the same thing i.e. gas valve has failed?
