Ideal Evomax 60 faulty...

Installed Ideal Evomax 60, after 6 weeks the heat exchanger split.
water test was carried and and passed but ideal still refuse to refund.

any other cases on this boiler would be very helpful..???
 
If boiler installed to MI's, water quality within required spec I can't see what reason they could have for not sorting this! mind you commercial boiler warranties are not as "inclusive" as domestic units

You should have fitted a Broag remeha Quinta65 - I have NEVER had a problem getting Broag to honour a warranty claim!

Have you tried talking to your local ideal Commercial Sales rep?? :wink:
 
Did you install it yourself? If so are you gas registered?

If not then was it fitted by a gas reg installer and what attitude is he taking?

Is this installed in a domestic environment or in a business?

You might be able to instigate legal action against Ideal but this will depend on your position and possibly the correct person to sue would be the installer.

It may also be relevant on who recommended this model. Was it you, the installer or as a sales recommendation by Ideal.
