My boiler, 3-4 yr old has gone down, as in no power, leccy up to the boiler, so 1amp spur fuse is o.k. took the pcb out the fuse in that is okay, but the pcb has a melt mark on the back, comparing them on the net, this melt mark should not be there, is this likely to be my problem? can buy one from warrington tomorrow 72 quid for a recon, with a 12mnth warranty.

You got one cheaper?

stripped the pcb down and the melting on the back, above it inside is a blue heavy box, bad description i know, thought someone may recognise what i'm saying I take you advice on my own shoulders if get it wrong. thanks very very brrrrrrrrr, much.

almost certainly it'll be the pcb, it's an incredibly unreliable pcb

black one = old version of the pcb

orange one = new version, more reliable (hopefully)

I can only smile at your misfortune. You drink drive and take pleasure in making fun of people who try to give up drinking / smoking. You smoke cannabis regularly and work for cash, whilst claiming money off the state.

Unbolt the crap on the wall and throw it in the bin. Or, throw a PCB at it, and in 13-18 months.... you'll have to throw another one at it. In three years time you'll have to put a new heat ex in it. :D

I can get a recon for £35 plus 'the dreaded'. 8)

Good luck, & im cold. Its only 24 degrees C now (at 1am).

Flooze
