Got one to fit in 2 weeks time, allready fited one 3 weeks ago so allready familiar with installation, fitted it to a Seimens RDj10rf progstat, now question is-

I am thinking of fitting the weather compensation thing at my own expense to see if it's any good, looking at the wiring diagram it looks like I fit the RDj10 rf stat as normal, and then the compensation unit into the the two wires as shown and thats it, orrrrrrr, do I need the opentherm progstat to make the weather unit work properly, if I do I aint gonna bother as it means running wires to the hallway.
Has anyone fitted this setup, if so how did it work, any problems ?

You can fit the w/c unit without the rf opentherm unit.
make ure the w/c is on a north facing wall.

Cheers thanks, I have orderd the unit and will fit it free of charge as I havent included it in the quote, but if the north facing wall is the other side of the house, I will keep it for another job.

thats where google earth comes in handy, you should be able to see where north wall is on custards house before going.
