ideal mexico cf70 no hot water!

my sis in-law has got an ideal Mexico Super 3 CF 70boiler, it was installed in 1997.
the central heating is working but no hot water.
help most appreciated

Are there 2 x 2 port vales in the airing cupboard (usually) or 1 x 3 port valve?

2 x 2 port vales mate.

fit a new synchron motor to the hot water valve ie one on the pipes into the side of the cylinder

try opening it manually first
lever on head and see if it moves

it's late, I'm tired.....chances are its the sychron, possibly the microswitches in which case a new actuator head will be needed. As kev said try switching manually first.

drain down and new valve

Drain down?...stick the bungs in, 30 minutes job's a good 'un.
