My Ideal Mexico Super 2 RS60P became a victim of the -17 temperatures we had here. I called my insurer who had someone here within four hours, he said the heat exchanger had cracked and I'd need a new boiler.
I'm not sure what happens next. I think I have to wait for him to go back and put his report in.
I'm just curious to know;
How long will it be before I get a decision?
Will my insurer pay for it?
If not, what's a ballpark figure to replace it?
It runs on LPG, will that limit my choice of replacement?

You'll need your insurer or Mystic Meg to answer the first 2.
An installer's visit for 3.
And a boiler that runs on LPG for 4.

As above, your questions can not be answered on a forum. The best advice we can give you here, is to spend more time on finding a good installer, than work out which boiler you would like.
