Ideal standard super mexico 2 - HELP PLEASE

I have an ideal standard super mexico 2.


I have just fitted a new thermostat and temperature dial to it and cannot control the heat on the dial (1 to 6)

Its either really hot or really cold no matter what number you put the dial on.

we thought it may have been a faulty new thermostat and control so we have replaced them twice now and still have not managed to repair it.

Can anyone out there help me as i'm trying to steer clear of buying a new boiler

To replace the boiler thermostat you need to open the combustion chamber sealed cover which is NOT a job for a DIYer.

The obvious advice is to call a competent engineer. We don't give DIY advice here for jobs which involve things its not safe for a DIYer to do.
