My Ideal Standard FF350 has developed a problem.
Sometimes a clicking that sounds like an electrical solenoid clicking on and off can be heard coming from behind the temperature control knob on the boiler.
As it clicks on and off, the flame flickers up and down or off all together. The pump continues to run no matter what.

I’m guessing to an electrical sensor/switch in the process of failing.

If so, which one?

I assume as it is a gas appliance, I have to employ someone to fix it?

Turns out that one of the solenoids on the PCB is fried.
New PCB should fix it.
Glad it isn't gas related.

Hi, just lurking, don't touch Gas boilers myself but am curious.
Your boiler PCB has solenoids on it? really?
How is it not gas related? What does the solenoid operate?
