My father in law recently passed away and he had an ADT alarm installed. We're trying to identify the model as the alarm triggers when the electricity is turned off. So we assume it needs a new battery. We've been unable to find any paperwork or documentation. All we know is it was installed in 2001 or 2002
I've looked at the useless ADT website and got nowhere.

It’s a scantronic alarm installed by ADT.
There will be a control panel hidden away somewhere in a cupboard and that is where you need to replace the battery.
A yuasa 7Ah battery would be my choice.

Thanks for the info, that's fantastic, I'll pass it on to my wife's brother who's on the ground, we're 200 miles away from the house. Thanks again.

No probs. Look up the scantronic 9800 install manual.

It's NOT a 9800 panel it could be a 9750/9751/52/9651/9850/9851/52
Open the flap on the left and post picture

Tbh more or less the same panel and the same procedure replacing the battery.

More likely a 9651 considering when ADT fitted these. There will be a couple more steps to do because there is an LCD screen on it, and it is technically more advanced than the 9800+.
