I am in the process of constructing a contemporary self build in Devon. The architect has specified a zinc roof as the pitch needs to be very shallow. However, I am having difficulties finding good quality information on zinc roofs. I have checked out the VMZinc site as suggested by someone but could do with advice regarding the type of zinc to use. Also, I cannot find a list of approved contractors. Does such a thing exist?

You could always go for a 'zinc effect' roof either in single ply or aluminium.
Should be cheaper than zinc.

i am a zinc roofer and not a spammer as seems to be suggested. just joined as i saw this question come up on a google search. i live in devon so thought i would be ideally placed to help. didnt realise i couldnt plug my website. sorry. any questions you have i will be happy to answer on the forum if you prefer. hope to speak soon
