hi all, ive jest been forwarded a picture, not the best qulity i know, of an unwired immersion heater. Appaerently this was not wired up after new cylinder was fitted 18 months agao.... it was new then tho.

heater.jpg

What i need to know, as instructions seem to have gone AWOL is where do the wires go.... Its in a cramped environment, so id like to get in, do it and get out.....

Heres the Layout....CU 2.5mm to double pole immersion switch, from there is a heat flex cord/cable 3 core, Live, Nutral Earth.... etc...

I think Ive work out where the earth goes, just not sure about Live / Nutral.

Like i said its not been used for over 18 months, do you think it will be ok to just wire up and try it? The Tank, and Immersion were both new 18 mnths ago.

Moderator's note:

I have moved it to heating and plumbing, they probably do Immersion heaters all the time.

That picture made my eyes go funny, could you try to focus?

about 10 o'clock there's a stamp on the chassis 'E'- The earth post is beside it.

I can't focus well enough on either the white block at 12 o'clock or what the brown cable is linked between.

About time I had another eye test

Come on guys, im desperate for an answer on this one...

You should watch your tone and reply not even a please or thank you this puts alot of people off.

For your info the live goes into the main block with the thermostat and the neutral on the other stalk next to the earth stalk which you state you think you worked out.
