Imperial to metric waste pipe connector

My house was built in 1981. Would they have used imperial waste pipes? My problem is that I need to replace my bathroom sink outlet with a 32mm pipe to outside. An inline push fit connector would be the preferred fitting, but the old pipe will not accept a 32mm connector.
The old pipe has an inside diameter of 32mm, outside is 36mm. Is there an adaptor that will cure this?

Replace the trap and the run all new pipe from the new trap.
OR, buy one of these as it will cover your 36mm size.

Solvent weld and push fit waste pipe are not compatible, if you're trying to fit a Push Fit fitting onto a solvent waste pipe, it wont work. Use a Compression waste fitting to join the 2 materials. https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast...aste-straight-coupler-white-32mm-x-32mm/15490
