Hi there. I want to wire in an in line extractor in the loft to move hot air from a lounge with a woodburner to a (colder) bedroom. Ideally a switch on the wall to turn on/off as and when. The inline extractor has a plug fitted so I was planning on trying the following. Spurring a new socket to an existing one to create a junction box/socket in the loft, then feed cable down to a switch in the lounge and back up to a new socket in the loft for the fan. In the UK I think you would use an switched FCU but we don't have those in NZ so I was going to use a regular switch. Is this the way forward? I will also post on the overseas bit but as a Brit abroad I would appreciate help from home!
