Please can somebody help?, as my son has a problem with this machine in that the wash cycle has finished but the door will not open. Unfortunately there are items of laundry inside that he needs to take on holiday this saturday.Any bright ideas?][/b]

You could try the piece of string trick. It may work if the lock spring has broken.
Feed string around the door so that the two ends are opposite side where the handle is, pull to the side and see if the door pops open.
Other than that it's a nightmare to get it open if the lock has jammed.
