Induction Hob - Which cable to use for cooker socket connection?

Hello all, what is the correct cable to use for connecting a 6kw induction hob to a standard cooker switch socket (cooker switch and a single socket), which is fed by a 32A connection? There is an oven also connected to the single plug socket on the above.

Would 2.5mm T+E suffice (rated at 27A I believe), or or should it be 4.0mm T+E ?

2.5mm² would suffice for a 6kW hob (25A) but I would use 4mm² as the circuit is 32A.

To clarify: Do you mean the oven is plugged into the socket and not connected to the terminals?

Thanks for your reply - yes, the oven has a 13A plug and is plugged into the single socket on the cooker switch housing.

In that case if both oven and hob were all on the current taken would be at about the tripping value of the 32A MCB. In practice that would probably be fine as few people use all hobs at the same time. But not ideal.

He has the equivalent of a small cooker.

But not ideal.

A standard cooker circuit of 32A/4mm² cable (method C) is fine and adequate for 19kW of domestic cooking appliances.
