help
i am a little unclear
1 ) if a competent registered person was to replace a consumer unit .. would he test every single circuit or just a peercentage and issue installation certificate.
2) if just a new socket was added in a kitchen ... would he test just this one circuit and issue installation certificate
3) if main bonding wasnt in place could you proceed with step 2 (adding a new socket) without main bonding being in place
another thing that puzzles me
why if changin an old rewireable CU for a new one must everythin be tested before energising the circuit.... because surely the new CU with rcd's and mc'bs is 100 times safer than old rewirables
