Hi,

Got an Accenta mini 8 when moved into house. I would like a second key pad fitted near back door as use this more with dog and kids. Got quoted just over £100, the main box is literally 2 meters away in a cupboard from where I want the new keypad.

1) How difficult is it (am not bad at electrics)?

2) Do I need the engineers code as don't have it or can you work around it?

Thanks

The problem with additional keypads they sometimes can cost the same price as a control panel ?
I would say that £100 for an additional keypad to be fitted by a pro is not bad.
Otherwise would could end up crashing and reprogramming panel if you do not know what you are doing ?
I would have it installed for that price.

Thanks Handymanjo. Will get them to fit it as I have this fear of setting off the alarm and not being able to stop it.

As Handyman says that's a good price and you will have a years warranty on the keypad if a fault happens.
