hi:)

i'm creating a storeroom/emergency bedroom under the stairs, and wish top add a door.

i've measured up and after installing the carcassing timber i'm going to be left with a max gap of 720mm, which i believe will mean i'll have to install a 610mm door?

looking at door linings most seem to be sold as 610/686mm kits, this pic from the howdens site shows 2 slots cut in the top of the lining.

i take it it is just a case of flipping the top of the lining over to line up with the required slot, then trim off the excess that would of been used if a 686 door was required right?

Yes indeed (y)

Im not sure if door lining dimensions actually allow for a margin, ideally a 610mm door would want a 615mm or 616mm door lining width.
