I have an outside light and I want to add another light that workds from the same switch. I woult like to simply add the light to the existing wiring that feeds the current light. Can anyone advise how to wire this to the existing fitting? Thanks.

Yes, this can be done, You could fit a junction box to the wiring feeding the light (fitted inside the property) Alternatively you could fit an outdoor JB where the supply cables exit the wall, then run separate cables to your original light and your new one. There are other possibilities but number two is probably the best if done correctly.

Look at the diagrams of lighting circuits in the Reference topic - it should be obvious....
