installing heated towel rail

Hi, I would like to replace the bathroom rad. with a heated towel rail, its a combi system, i just want a smallish one, it wont cause any problems with the system?

Be careful. There is no issue with the plumbing, but the heat emitted by a towel rail is tiny compared with a radiator of the same size, then when the same towel rail is covered with fluffy insulating towels even less heat is emitted into the room.

Assuming your existing radiator warms the bathroom sufficiently, look on the internet to find a radiator of the same size and construction, note the heat output and then compare it with the heat output of available towel rails.

You could consider keeping the existing radiator and adding a new towel rail, assuming you have enough space.
 
thanks, didnt realise there was so little heat from a towel rail- may rethink that one :D :) jeanette
