Insulation prices - Celotex/Kingspan style

Just pricing up my self build extension. Self build due to cost rather than want!

An approx 35m2 extension with 100mm insulation in the floor and flat roof with some insulated plaster board on the existing walls is looking like £1600 worth. The 100mm boards seem to go for £45/sheet.

Any ideas on how to get this down? Are there any bargain shops out there? Any other appropriate insulation instead of colorectal? I've seen on flea bay a few listings of "seconds" where the boards have a bit of damage for £25-30 / sheet.

you need to search around i paid 28plus vat 100mm and 17 plus vat for 50mm (and that was when there was a shortage over christmas)from beaumont

Pick a merchant, go there and ask them what discount they will give you. Never pay the marked price for large orders from builders merchants.

Just had a load of 140mm delivered from these people.Just over £42 a sheet all in, inc delivery.
