Internal wall removal with indemnity policy on another part of the house

it doesn't look big enough to me, unless it is part of a trussed partition or something.

What are its dimensions?

It's 320 long which corresponds with the 320 long wall on the first floor and then 16 cm wide

160mm wide

and how deep?

What's the upstairs wall made of?

I believe the upstairs is a brick wall. The depth of the beam is 110mm. I've just inspected further and can see that this isn't on top of the tiles

It may not be a brick wall in the true sense. In our house project the upstairs walls were/are actually wooden studs fixed to joists and a sole plate supported by just a double joist below. Infilled (fairly crudely) with single skin brick, and plastered over.

Is there anyway to tell without stripping all the plaster? I have tried to lift the floorboards but can't quite manage it
