Interpretation of oil boiler efficiency

If you replace your Panda wit a new boiler, to comply with Building Control regulations and get certified, your system should be brought fully up to date. I wouldn't say this always happens.
For sure, that will be done - it'll be a Hounsfield too!
Anyway, ye aged Panda is doing just fine....I've a spare rebuilt burner standing by and I've made a couple of spare baffles. The time clock stopped working ages ago but I've cobbled up a replacement that works well enough.
Until water starts dribbling out of the bottom......

Hey John I hope the panda keeps going I've worked on some in my time, always a good boiler
and,long-lived,hope you get many years from it regards Bob

Cheers Bob! Old Panda was in my cottage when I bought it in 1986 - the house was built in 1960 so I guess it stems from about that time but I can't say for sure.
All I can say is that the place is cosy, there's plenty of hot water and I use about 1100 litres of kero a year. No electrics to go wrong, and the thermostat clicks with a vengence that would wake the dead.
Suits me!
John :)
