It depends what is meant by regime change, though. Does it mean a destruction of the existing power structure. Or does it mean more moderate elements to replace the headbangers.

It means a regime that will do what it’s told by the West, like Irack and look what happened there
In Iraq, the whole ruling structure was taken apart. I was wondering whether they might be after something more limited.

has anyone ever managed regime change? Maybe Nazi Germany or Post WW2 Japan.
The only thing that seems to work is capitalism.

After ww2 the defeated Germans played a big part in restoring order, working with the allies. The concept of surrender and defeat was different back then
