Is China the main supplier of PPE equipment?

CV-19 originated in China. The Chinese manufacture and supply the most global PPE. The Chinese are several weeks ahead of the rest of the world in developing a vaccine............Anyone notice the pattern here?

Yeah, they are becoming world leaders.

Once upon a time, Britain was a world leader in iron, steel, the slave trade, invading foreign countries, illegal drugs, and the export of cheap rubbishy pottery and tin ware.

Also not all that long ago and post WWII aircraft, fighters, radar, weapons of all sorts, hifi and a number of other things. The jump jet was probably the last gasp. Couldn't afford to finish Blue Streak and TSR-2 probably went for the same reason - would have easily been the most advanced fighter in the world. Seemed to come to an agreement to buy American instead if needed to avoid development costs. Airbus and Eurofighter appeared to be a nice new breath of fresh air. Rolls Royce have been firmly trying to get there suppliers to use China for manufacture for years now.

Then there is the brain drain. People who are capable and into this sort of thing earn more and have more scope working in the USA.
