We're about to buy a washing machine (Bosch WFL 2067 Classixx) online. They say we can pay extra to have it connected, but do we need it? We've never done it before, but my other half is fairly good with tools and DIYing etc.

What do we need to know about connecting?

Thanks :)

EDIT there's already a machine there, albeit broken, however I should think that water supply etc is ok!

That's the reply I was hoping for, thanks.

Had a feeling some of these companies are happy to encourage special installment at "small" charges without letting us know it's straight forward to do yourself!

just to add the obvious
make shure you turn the water off on both hoses[valve on the copper pipe work ajoining or farther afeild] ;)
