Is dot and dab so bad?

fenox have an insulation board out but it will only do the same as hardie backerboard, dot and dab it to the wall, then mechanical fixing through the dabs (screws), then tile directly onto it. jobs a good un mate. hope this helps, as this would be my solution to your problem

Anyone have a link to details with spec for insulation?

Any idea of cost per m² ?

9" solid wall....

I would be studding it out..then vapour barrier then an insulation board...thickness depends on the space you need but anywhere from 6mm-up to 80 mm+....NICOBOND do the boards as for price varies on thickness your looking to use...

Dot/dab method is not something you want to be doing...

You won't get enough coverage on those size off tiles you have...

You will use more adhesive as well..more cost...

Seen jobs in kitchens that have been d/d ...and the tiles around sockets have...caved in...just by plugs being put in and out...

You could also just d/d insulation boards to wall then plugged and screwed as jc has said...your call tony..
