You got me Bobby...
I thought the title of that song was "you got me, babe".

They say we're young and we don't know
We won't find out until we grow
Well I don't know if all that's true
'cos I'm never wrong, phew! ;)

you got me, babe.

Im guessing someone on here soon will insist noone from England is English etc. Usual bs from usual idiots wanting to deny or annihilate anything traditionally British English etc. I was brought up to respect local people wherever, their beliefs and way of life. Be that here or any country. I would never walk into a French Indian Spanish whatever and say fck off you're not X you're a mish mash of neanderthal man, idiotic arrogant rude response missing the point completely.
If they have lived the ways and worked loved fought and served the country in which they live for a good while for generations that gives them some entitlement to be proud and belong no matter where, no matter their origins a few thousand years ago.

there are no indigenous lives...everybody is a melting pot.

apart from hedgehogs, theyve been around for 15 million years.
How do you get that many candles on a cake.
Are there denomination candles, like a big one is worth 10, and great big one is worth 100, and a maaaasive one is worth a 1000, etc?

That'll be why some post whatever bit of gossip they can find that remotely relates to colour, race, ethnicity or racism.

To most people, especially those that regularly socialise with various ethnicities on an interpersonal level colour is irrelevant. But for those that do not regularly socialise with various ethnicities and retain their prejudiced view, and at a societal, organisational, structural level, inequality based on ethnicity, and racism needs to be addressed
aah so inequality is quantifiable , and can be measured ‘based on ethnicity’..

i’m sure we can all agree , as it’s well documented that non white ethnicities are less likely to socialise / integrate , especially with whites. based on your statement we can presume they also retain prejudiced views.

i got you babe. you looked up the words on google and still got the title wrong.

for the life of me I can’t see why saying someone looks like a letterbox is racist.
but willing and open to be educated.
btw , the easy option here is to say benny is racist and doesn’t even know it.
that won’t make you clever.

OK not starting another topic about it but read this..

Its about a black guy talking to his white friend about racism. Apart from the deplorable ****s throwing stuff at their car telling them f off back home(ill come to that bit in a minute). I see nothing different to banter amongst guys. We are all singled out and joked about. Even me being a pretty dam perfect human spec i still had a few nicknames for my apparent appearance and 'features' should we say, it wouldn't have been the same without having one. That's british banter and growing up here it gives you a sense of humour etc, now if i felt i was being singled out i agree but NEVER did i see anyone singled out in our groups and coming from inner london we were mixed.

Just on a side note, the first time i drove to Manchester on business as a lad, i was told to fck off down south at a petrol station, and at the first bar was advised not to drink here because of my accent i may get my head kicked in.
To get my revenge whilst up there i spent the night with a lovely local girl who i met during the day in the makeup deparment in the shopping center.

Absolute my gods honest truth there.

Im telling you he's a poor AI bot on here or something. The other day he thought he'd explain to me Jonathan Pie the satirical news reporter despite what i thought wasn't actually a real reporter, his perception is beyond fcked up or just doesn't compute :D Honestly... he (or his developer)is a few sandwiches short.

Did anyone say that?

Then it's qualified, not quantified.

Nonsense. You cannot base any such assumption on my statement. In order to retain a prejudice, one must have that prejudice first. White people are taught that prejudice from a young age, by their parents and their peers. BAME people are hardly likely to form that prejudice initially, otherwise, if as migrants they would hardly have migrated to a country to expose themselves to racism.
If as UK born BAME people, they may well have been warned by their parents to expect such racism and inequality. But as they grow up, and start to suffer that racism, they are likely to form their own opinions of the hostility against them, which might full well reinforce their parents warnings.
But there is a world of difference between wariness of hostility, and racism. One is an action against others based on their ethnicity. The other is a reaction against someone's attitude.

I urge people to read the article rather than accept festive's paraphrasing of the bits he wants to present.
