Hi all,
I’ve have a Salamander CT55+ XTRA pump lying around and was wondering if it’s technically possible to temporarily fit it just after the internal stop tap, before the combi boiler, to boost incoming mains pressure.
I know it’s not what it’s designed for (and Salamander HomeBoost is always recommended ), but the HomeBoost is a bit pricey and I already have the CT55. I’d obviously make sure to fit a non-return valve and isolate it properly, and I’m aware of the warranty implications.
Has anyone tried this or seen it done? Would it actually work in terms of improving flow and not causing issues with the boiler? I’m not expecting miracles , just trying to see if it’s a viable workaround before I shell out for a proper mains booster
