I current have a Bosch PSB 24 VE-2 and the Ni-Cd battery no longer holds its charge over a few days (which is annoying)....

I can buy a new battery for £50 but I'm wondering whether I should just ditch the Bosch and buy a new Li-Ion based drill (I guess I'd spend around £200)

How easy is a battery rebuild and is it likely to cost me less than £50?

Regarding the Hitachi question if I'm going for a new drill how much of a difference is there between NiCd and LiIon? Can anyone outline the difference in performance (power)?

With the Hitachi you get 3 batteries (which if you equated them to the £100 cost would only make them £33 each) plus you get a new drill and a torch all in a carry case.

Depends how good your Bosch drill is, if it is a bit ropey I would bin it and get a new set.
