Hello,

I imagine that the answer to this will be 'no', and I'll be advised to get it repaired properly or ripped out and rebuilt, but...

Is there anything that can be used to coat/waterproof an existing tiled shower cubicle? For example, some kind of 'rubber paint' or 'liquid rubber', possibly something intending for roofs?

Appearance is NOT the main concern.

Thanks

There are sheet panels that can be used, but I assume that the problem is that it is leaking, which may mean that the existing tiles aren't that well adhered to the wall. There are a thousand and one things you could probably paint on but it will look awful and if the tiles are coming away will probably fail again in time.

Thanks for the reply, and it will probably be a case of retiling at the least then.
Just out of curiosity, what are a few of the more likely options from the 1001 things?

you've already started to explore those options with roofing sealants etc. Anything from something out of a tin to tar.
