Pegs? I asked about the pegs and my brother told me that the builder had sprayed the sides of the trench. I couldn't see any marks. I think he had the egg drop its load and thought it would level itself.

Yes, use holding down straps as specified in Bldg Regs part A.

The return does not look wide enough (post#7). It shows a small block return. How many bricks is it on the outside - or am I seeing it wrong?

Builder had a couple of blokes turn up this morning after being told no one was allowed back to site until an independent building surveyor and bco had been to site.
They were not happy at being turned away and siad you won't see any of the things you are worried about once Its been boarded.

Turns out bco has only made one visit which was prior footing being poured.

Brother has spoken to truss manufacturer and received truss layout including bracing.
No surprise it's not to drawings.

Not sure about that return noseall but I think it is greater than 600mm. Will get him to check.

I cant see any sign of a wall starter being used or vertical dpc. I thought the cavity had to be opened at this point

Yes to wallstarter - anyway its the easiest way to fix, not sure how else that can done.

Cavity is usually continued to remover thermal bridge
Or at least a vertical dpc

Yep, due to his laser level having a fault apparently.

I suppose the brickie had to cut the first row of blocks inner and outer.

That mustve been a tad annoying

Still I suppose its good the same laser wasnt used to get the brickwork up to plate

I think jonny was near the mark with it being an aldi laser level if one was used. It certainly wasn't a topcon.

The internal return to a window is only about 150mm in one of the photos
