The picture below is what i have on one wall in my kitchen

The picture below this is what i want to do. Is this how i would go about it?
I want to add a DBL & Single socket to the ring. The I want to bring a spur from the new DBL to a fused switch to power some under unit lights

nothing wrong with that electircally just make sure you make your joints in an appropriate matter (teminal block in the backbox of the existing socket is probablly the easiest way) and that you keep cables in the permitted routes.

also if that is indeed the physical arrangement then wouldn't it be easier to put the new fused connection unit on the ring?

my ant wants me to add her a socket in her kitchen to. how do you tell if it is radius or ring and what is the best way?

can i find infomation on permitted routes on this site ?
