I can't see, as it's inside this PVC pipe:



However, I tried tapping the visible part here with the end of a key, and it sounds like it is metal \m/, but I wouldn't bet my life on it:

It'll be plastic with a "metal" convertor fitting to allow the brass ECV to be fitted.

Well it looks like most MDPE connections to meter boxes i've ever seen. And as a new build it will be as near to guaranteed MDPE as you can get.

I can't be much more certain if I don't actually visit the installation.

Indeed - and we've all been saying that, all along (since its a new build), quite apart from seeing any photos.
