Is this flashing OK?

Hi all, can anyone advise? I've just had a new roof on the rear addition of my house, and I'm not sure if the flashing is OK. The work was done by a specialist roofer.

Please forgive my ignorance but I have no experience of roofing jobs. As you can see in the pictures (here if they haven't uploaded to the message: http://www.diynot.com/network/PeterWeyland/albums/
) the flashing does not overlap the tiles, something I've never seen before. Behind the lead are sections of (I assume) stainless steel right-angle, which have been laid along the length of the roof at the point where it meets the wall. The right-angles extend under the tiles. Is this normal / acceptable?

I'm also concerned that he hasn't cemented the lead flashing in, but has used a grey mastic, visible in the picture.

Any views on this would be gratefully received. I haven't paid the roofer yet.

He's cut the lead in at angle which follows the roof pitch. On brickwork this is usually done with individual pices of lead, each cut horizontally into a mortar joint. (But is ok)
The lead doesn't overlap the "tiles" on a slate roof. Lead soakers are placed between the layers of slate, and turned up the wall behind the cover flashing.
The grey mastic is lead sealant, this is preferred over pointing with mortar.
So, yes, all is good IMO

Whilst it isn't exactly 'traditional' in appearance or technique, it's done so really the only question is: does it leak? If the answer is 'no' then it's ok.
