Indeed. if you cant read them then a photo isn't much help!. There's usually two lots of numbers. One set says the BS number and voltage 400v etc - I thin k that's the set you have photo'd. Also on the cable, may be on the other side, or a foot or so away from the first set, there will be something like thisCouldn't read the numbers so posted (poor) images.
Couldn't find any other numbers and the only ones I can read are 600/10000V. The 'Mains' switch box has a neon light but no fuse! indicating the number of cores and the size of the cores. Thats the figure needed.
Its kind of hard to see if the cable is grubby (especially in the dark.) A wet finger usually reveals the answer!
A hole has been drilled through the wall and the 3 wires of the armoured cable have been connected to the back of a double socket on the ring circuit.How is the armour connected into the house circuit, or isn't it?
