I have a new boiler which supplies domestic hot water on demand and directly ie no header tank [central heating is separate sealed system]
If I need to change a hot tap washer I will need to switch off all water at mains and turn off the boiler.
It seems I have 3 choices to improve things and would like to know which people think is best:
1) fit isolator valves to each and every hot tap (I'd rather not get under the bath etc)
2) fit an isolator valve to the 15mm supply pipe to boiler (I think boiler would still have to be off at electrics)
3) fit a 22mm stop tap to outlet from boiler (all the boiler would know is that water was not being demanded)
3- seems preferable to me
is there anything I havent thought of
thanks
Derek
