I reformatted my windoze xp PC. Backed up all music. Re-installed windoze xp. Very happy with it now, running quicker than ever. Downloaded itunes 7, a 35MB file, in 56 seconds. Thats just silly lol.

Now though, the itunes store sees a new copy of itunes and therefore thinks its a new computer, and now i've had to authorise my third machine (i can authorise 5 in total apparently) so i can play my music. What happens when I get to my fifth reformat / machine?

Crisis averted!

I've been viewing itunes' help pages, and it says when you reach 5 authorisations, you have the option to de-authorise all computers on that account, and start again! :D

It also said I should have de-authorised my computer before reformatting it . . . oops.

The joys of reformatting
